    *sigh*

This weekend I hung in a commercial campground on the Elk River in Missouri...used tree straps for the hammock, of course, and my tarp ridge line was sheathed in tubular webbing to protect the trees. I was pleased with the setup, and was looking forward to showing it off to anyone who was interested.

Took a walk, and returned to find a zip line passing around an adjacent tree, and anchored to my tree with wire rope. The Philistines win again.

This is a shining example of why I choose to do back country/primitive camping when I camp in the warmer seasons. Idiots abound everywhere.

Some people are able to correct others without sounding like a pedagogical P.I.T.A. I am not so gifted.
