hey guys last weekend my girlfriend and three dogs got to go out camping. we went to bowman lake in off of the north country trail in norther mi. it was her first time camping ever! we got out late friday made camp cooked food ect. The only thing i was scared of was the temps and sleeping in our dn together, but after getting some advise i got the confidence to just bring my hammock as i was gonna bring a tent instead, with that said it was a great decission we used a down 3/4 length blanket laid it in the bottom of the hammock and used my neo air on top of that we got in our down bags and wrapped up with a comforter we both satyed toasty warm and i could not even tell she was in there we sleep shoulder to shoulder in perfect comfort. she had an awesome time thanks to the hammock and didnt complain once about being cold it got down to 31 too. she enjoyed the camp meals and it was nice having a helping hand out there as for my dogs i tied two of them up my puppy heeler and boston terrier under the hammock i leave my one year old heeler free as he would never leave my side i have a 1/4 cut blue tarp i put as a staging map under me the dogs slept there with a blanket and there sweaters on. all in all not a lot of hiking or exploring but one of my fav trips, i got her hooked now!!!
