Glad I could be the first at something, you take what you can get. I had already spliced the tail end back into the line. I suppose that could be undone but not as easy as taking the chair apart.

ps: be careful not to tie any whoopies up near the steering wheel of a large truck, a pack that large is very expensive (trust me)
I'm thinking I may have to take a trip to some place like the Bonneville Salt Flats where I can go out with my amsteel and tie whoopees without fear of getting it wrapped around something that will not fit in my pack.

I love it! I've done a ton of splicing for gear and boats and never done that. I have very often sat back and admired my work and realized I didn't put the metal thimble/eye on the line.

Last week, at West Marine, I was so proud I remembered to put the heat shrinks on some wire rigging before swaging the eyes on both ends. I finished the project and realized I didnt put the block on the eye, the sole reason I did it at West vs at home.

I made whoopies with a knot in the adjustable loop - luckily I had not backspliced the end when I noticed it.

The knot wasn't a mistake--It was just to keep the loop from eating itself.
