    First hang last night

It was comfy but....... I dunno if it was because trees were wet, or the ENO slap straps were too stretchy maybe both..... But by morning my butt was bout an inch from the ground. Time to order some Amsteel!

Congrats on your first hang! Yes, the ENO slap straps are notorious for their stretch. Many folks here have moved to polypro straps (or at least away from the slap straps). I don't know why ENO won't fix these obvious and well documented failings with the slap straps, but ours is not to wonder why, I suppose.

It will take more than whoopies to fix it unless you mean the whoopie system.

Whatcha mean? I'm new to hammocks but I've made whoopie slings from hollow braided rope recently for practice. It says it has a WLL of 240lbs and I'm 250 so I don't wanna chance it haha

That isnt the issue. The issue is the stretching of the tree straps. You need to get some poly straps. The weight limit on those should be fine though as each is taking part of the load. There is a chart on here somewhere showing force vs weight vs angle of hang.

Edit: The whoopie system from the website has the slings and tree straps. Their tree straps will not stretch like the ones you are using now.

My buddy Trevor(gwynn1975 on YouTube) sent me some tree straps which don't look like they'll stretch at all, he said he used em & they worked well. The whoopies I made are of the yellow hardware store polypro that ya melt ends to stop fraying.
