Hi From Hammock Bliss - How can we help?

My name is Dov Frazer and I am the founder of Hammock Bliss.

We have been producing parachute nylon hammocks since 2000. I know quite a few Hammock Forums people use and enjoy our hammocks and accessories and I wanted to make myself available if anyone has comments, questions or suggestions about our hammocks.

We recently introduced a new item called the Hammock Bliss Sky Tent which creates a very roomy, tent like space around your hammock and offers rain protection, bug protection and a place for you and your gear. The latest version of the Sky Tent accommodates 2 hammocks which is quite cool.

Hope to hear from you soon

    Cheers

    Dov

Very cool! I just did a write-up on the Sky Tent. I didn't know you were headquartered in Tucson! I'm just up north in Flagstaff. I'm giving a few presentations at REI in Phoenix in June -- we should hook up. Please send me a PM.

Awesome to hear from you Mr. Frazer! I am one of the members here that is using your gear. To be specific, the HB double. Its HUGE! Has eay more room than i really need but it sure is nice to have the extra room. Heck, ive stretched out pretty flat sitting in it width wise, ha ha. Ive made a few mods to the hammock to make it lighter and easier to set up thanks to the help i have gotten from members of this forum. The people here are great! Good to have you aboard!

    Hi,

I took a look at your web site, and your hammocks look fine. Some offered in the marketplace are too small, and yours seem to buck that trend. I looked at your tree straps, and I like the way you explained their function. I'd suggest two things, one for the hammock users and one for the trees. First, use polyester instead of nylon for the tree straps so they don't stretch as much. Second, make tree straps standard equipment with every hammock and use your excellent explanation as a selling point. Too many first time hammockers overlook the need to protect the trees, and emphasizing the benefits of using tree straps will help with the needed education effort and demonstrate your commitment to sound ecological practices.

You're allowed to put a link your website in your HF signature. I had to Google you to see your hammocks.

Yep poly is the way to go on the straps, I know nylon is cheaper, but your customers will thank you for it! +1 on making them standard, here in Florida, we only recently got permission to hang hammocks in state parks, but only if 1" tree straps are used. I don't know how many of your hammocks are sold down here, but being able to use them right away in a Florida state park would be a great selling point for your sunshine state customers. Also, instead of the nylon climbing ropes, think about using amsteel whoopie slings, stronger, lighter, and more adjustable.

Thanks for all of the replies. I will certainly look into polyester for the tree straps and thanks for the suggestion. In case anyone want to check out our hammock offerings out website is http://www.hammockbliss.com Obviously I should have included that in my initial post!
