Along this same line, do you all think that an 8X10 tarp is long enough on the 10' ridgeline to provide decent coverage for a DIY hammock with an approx 100" structural ridgeline?

I got a used Hammock Gear Cuben tarp here on the board. Spent a little more than $200, but at 6.5 oz 10'10" ridgeline, it is awesome!

My first tarp purchase was a Superfly, never regretted, very versatile!

I recommend the UGLY (Ultralight, Gigantic, Low-cost, Yuser-friendly) tarp. It's huge. You can put it together in about an hour. It will cost you less than $50. It's light as can be. And even if you don't like it after a year or two you can cut it up for groundsheets or a fire tarp.

If you don't like the UGLY route, I also like my Hennessey Hexfly as a good middle of the road tarp.

I've been looking on YouTube at the Superfly, and I've seen that some have doors that snap on, and others that are sewn on. Can I get a Superfly with snap on doors, or are they all sewn on? Cause I would love to get one with snap on doors.
