Try Jo Ann's or another "craft" store like that. That is where I get mine most of the time.

If you don't care about the color or design Walmart clearance usually has it super cheap.

    found under the faq:

    Q. What's the difference between, Polartec® Classic 200 & Polartec® Classic 300 series?
    A. The higher the number, the heavier and warmer the fabric.
    In ounces the difference is:
    100 - 9.5 oz per linear yard
    200 - 12.5 oz per linear yard
    300 - 16 oz per linear yard

Weight per linear yard is significantly higher than weight per square yard. Most of the Polartec fabrics are 60" wide. A linear yard of 60" fabric is equivalent to 1.67 square yards, putting Polartec 100 at about 5.7 oz per square yard.
