    nano 7 suspension options?

Pardon my newness...I've just gotten into this hanging thing.

Is Hammock Addiction Disorder a thing (HAD)? If so, I may have the early stages of it....

I'm looking at picking up a nano 7 as a uberlight hammock that could reside in my everyday pack pretty much all the time.

It looks like the nano 7 doesn't come with a complete suspension, but does come with carabiners. What would be the best strap setup so that I could hang it without knot tying?

I'm thinking I could just attach a warbonnet adjustable webbing suspension and it would be super simple and quick. Am I missing anything?

I'll probably throw an adjustable ridge line inthere too.

The Nano7 has been my go to hammock. At least until it gets buggy. I have mine set up with Whoopies to the hammock using Dutch hooks. On the tree straps I have Dutch clips for easy set up. With the hooks to the hammock I can separate the whoopies from the tree straps if they get wet or get sap on them. You could go with Dynaglide whoopies to lessen the weight even more and just pass the tree straps through themselves. I use a ridge line but it's not adjustable. I just have one Dutch biner so I can easily un-clip the RL when/if needed. And if you have to find a name for the addiction then it's probably an addiction. My name is Two Tents and I have a problem!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

If you want to keep it uber light put some whoopie slings on it and use tree straps without any hardware. Just need to put the webbing around the tree, feed the webbing through the loop of the strap and use a trail stick for the marlin spike hitch to connect the whoopie sling to the tree strap.

Those are some good ideas. Two tents how "flat " does the nano lay?

I like the whoopie sling idea. Is there any reason NOT to get an 8' for someone new to hanging?

It lays fairly flat. It took me a bit to find the ideal length ridge line length. Nope 8' would be ok. I use 6' but that's just me.

You don't need whoopie slings. What is appealing about them is reduced weight and bulk. Using tree straps secured to the carabiners with some kind of hitch is fine. It's not as quickly adjustable as cinch buckles but it works ok.

I have a nano 7 and I have it set up as I described in my earlier post. 6 foot whoopie slings and 6 feet of webbing fits in the nano's stuff sac. It's tight but it all fits.
