Need help with my ridgeline!!!

I got my WBBB and Camo Superfly in two days ago. I did a test hand last night. Very comfy and warm. One problem. I ordered 100' of grey guyline from WarbonnetGuy(Brandon) as well. I made a 30' continual ridgeline out of it with prusik knots with s-biners for easy adjustability. Only problem is the prusiks moves durning the night. Idk why, is it the line? Can someone help me out? Maybe another easy adjustable ridgeline suggestion as well?

I would try another wrap or two on your prussiks. That should tighten them up some and give you the hold you need.

Mine started slipping too. Made another wrap and problem solved.

As others have said, an extra wrap will help. As the line gets worn in more it will also hold better.

I had the same problem (Dynaglide and Zing-it are both particularly slippery)


Give your Prussiks another wrap or two, and your knots will hold: guaranteed!

+1 on the Klemheist and extra wraps.

I have found the Distel Hitch to be particularly effective. You can get it to grab really well, but you can also get it to let go easier that a prusik or Klemheist. I did find that one extra wrap on the top of the Distel to help IIRC it was 4 wraps on top and 2 under.
