heres the breakdown on 7d and 8d fabrics.

7d- Good, allways has been

8d (kelly green)- not bad downproofness, it's useable

8d (grey)- Leaks down extremly bad

8d (tan)- Leaks down extremly bad

Thanks Luke for clearing that up. Do you have any secret suppliers of 7d?

i wish. To my understanding there is only one factory that can produce 7 denier fabrics so in turn makes for a very limited supply. If i just had enough money to start my own run like ti-goat did. Maby a group buy anyone??

Can't hurt to give it a short to gauge interest, right? I say that knowing I won't have time this summer to spearhead it though, so right know it's just wishful thinking

Any idea how much fabric we'd be talking about for a run?

I can't answer corncobs question and I sure wouldn't be able to put a group buy together, but if someone gets it going I'd be in for a decent amount of it. As much as funds allow
