ENO DN Bugnet Suggestions and Ridgeline Question

Hey all, sorry if this has been asked before. I am looking into buying a bugnet for my DN and was wondering what would you suggest? I have looked at various ones. This is the one I have been leaning towards ( http://www.wildernesslogics.com/NOSE...UM-BUG-NET.htm ) but I wanted to see what everyone else was using for their hammocks.

Also another very noobish question is about Ridgelines. Am I correct in saying that you need a ridgeline to hang a Bugnet? What is the difference in the two types of ridgelines and how would one go about hanging each type on a whoopie sling suspension. Sorry for the really noob questions guys, I just can not seem to wrap my head around the ridgeline concept.

I have an ENO guardian. It fits the DN great. Check Amazon and any other discount sites. You might be able to find a deal.

Sorry I forgot to address your other question. If you put a structural ridgeline on your hammock to control the lay, you can get away with not stringing up an extra line to hold up the Guardian. The Guardian comes with a stock line that gets attatched to the outside of the net via small clips.

You're choice of the WL bugnet is a good one and it weighs 1/2 of what the ENO Guardian does. You will probably want to add a RL to your hammock for this net as you suspected. See this thread for a few ways to loop the ends of a RL over the whoopie slings.

FWIW, the Eno will fit under a DIY Fronkey bugnet pretty darn easily.

I purchased a Mombasa Mosquito net from REI (http://www.rei.com/product/729007/mo...vel-net-double) back during the April sale for $13 shipped to my front door. Ended up with a lot of leftover fabric, and a pretty darn solid mosquito net for about an hours worth of work.

Total weight of the net is 7 oz.

Thanks for the responses guys. Could I just use paracord for a non-structural ridgeline to just keep the bugnet up?

Yes. It will even work as a SRL with just a wee bit of stretch.

Hey Kestrel, would you like to share with the class what adjustments you made? Looks like it might be perfect for me.

If your not into DIY...I also have the Eno Guardian Bugnet for my DN and it fits great. I lay it over the hammock ridgeline rather than using the separate cord and attachments that came with it.
