My lab mix sleeps under me on the ground. I have a pad for her, but more often than not she just sleeps on the bare ground.

I normally just bring a piece of blue tarp i cut for like a staging mat then i have a down blanket i put in one of my blue heelers pack along with a food/water bowl and there collars then they just sleep with me under the hammock and i throw the blanket on them if i normally dont bring all three of my dogs unless i have to i have a boston terrier who never listens well and two blue heelers if i bring my boston he goes down in the bottom of my bag so he dosent dip out at night lol he is my oldest and at one point i was living in the mountains in nor cal at my friends house, he slept like that for three months in a tent with me wish i woulda knew what hammocking was.but if he does come he sleeps with me and or the other dogs just with a leash attached they all just sllep in a ball and i chuck the blanket over them. I like bringing a dog with as fronkys vid shows they are alert at night!!

Walmart tent. First and last time I used the poles. Without them it sets up like a tipi, tying the top off to my suspension line. Plus less weight and bulk for my dog to carry.

Big tarp with doors, tyvek ground sheet, CCF pad, custom AHE Syn Jarbridge quilt, fleece jacket with large 12 hour adhesive heat pad and a fleece balaclava. This will get my dog down to about 0*F.

I don't worry about the ticks until I get home...

I have a 50# Golden-doodle that goes hiking with me everywhere. I took an old yoga mat and cut it in half for her to sleep on under my rain fly. If by chance she gets cold she will climb up in the hammock with me in which she will take up at the foot of the hammock.

Mine is a 30# dachshund mix that is a bed hog. She doesn't like my HH Velcro entry, but she will hop in the ENO in a second!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336490146.111932.jpg
