ok, so i got my new night owl in, and i also have a ARL for it (to get that perfect lay every time.) (stop giggling).
so right now i have whoopies coming off the hammock, and need to attach the straps ( loops at both ends) and the ARL, but im not 100% sure how.

ok, i have another issue. im tired and my head isnt working around this:
i have the hammock with whipped ends. the tail end of a whoopie sling is larks headed around the knot on the ends. but then i have tree straps with loops on each end that im supposed to connect the whoopies to, but i just tried and moron me larksheaded those on too, making them useless.
so aside from a biner between the sling and strap, how do i connect these together?
i have binners/dutch clips for the tree end (binners when the strap isnt quite long enough and has to clip to the whoopie sling) and a pair of continuous loops laying around if that helps

Have you tried the marlin spike hitch and toggle method? Works great!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,

ive got buckles, trunks, MSH, etc. i just dont trust toggles. at all. ever.

nah. im cutting out the stitching on one end of the strap. then my buckles will work fine.

So the question should have been...how do I use "x"-style buckles with tree straps that have loops sewn in both ends? You've confused me from the start. Of course that's easy to do.
Maybe you should learn to trust toggles. Everyone else does.
