I had to dunk my quilt in the icy stream once the temp got up to -30F...I was overheating.

Hmm, It seams now I have to add a smoothy machine to my setup to keep up with everyone else. That is going to be a fun ultralight project. I wonder how long of an extension cord I am going to need.

if you had peddles over your hammock, you could produce electricity for the smoothie mach & body heat for the hammock at the same time

Hmm a smooth, espresso, homemade ice cream machine. That has some promise.

There was a thread on WB a good while back about a generator that used the potential energy generated by 'bouncing' while you hike to charge a battery - there ya go! Only problem was, the setup weighed like 50 lbs. or something...

'Bouncing' has some potential application in a hammock, too.

(I was talking about swinging in the breeze, you dirty kids!)

The forecast said it was only getting down to 22 Monday night so I didn't sleep out. Turns out it was about 14. GRRRRR....weatherman needs a new job!

Supposed to be in the 20's here in central NC this weekend. Since I am a newbie, I am going to be trying some different things I have read about here. I did end up buying a GG 12x12 tarp to use until I can make my own. I am trying that out and a friend gave me his old therm a rest to try. It was old to him but new to me Also.. I am testing a couple of down underquilt options. I will report back.
