There was a thread on WB a good while back about a generator that used the potential energy generated by 'bouncing' while you hike to charge a battery - there ya go! Only problem was, the setup weighed like 50 lbs. or something...

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
Supposed to be in the 20's here in central NC this weekend. Since I am a newbie, I am going to be trying some different things I have read about here. I did end up buying a GG 12x12 tarp to use until I can make my own. I am trying that out and a friend gave me his old therm a rest to try. It was old to him but new to meAlso.. I am testing a couple of down underquilt options. I will report back.
