My toggles are tied to a loop of zing-it on the whoopie loop. I'll be in real trouble if I pull a toggle in!

I like to dominate them. If they don't submit, they regret it. Sadly, if they regret it ( after I break them ) I end up sad with WS sucked up into themselves. So in the end, the beads win.

This is brilliant. I've almost lost my toggles once already and I've only had the setup a few weeks.

    I'm totally stealing this idea.

I've read a few reports of beads breaking so I have always used and promoted the cord fattening extra bury...quick and permanent.

I've seen beads get crushed and fall apart. They're great, but not perfect. 'specially cheap ones.

You too?! Back on a January hike, I had to go back to a pavilion which we had camped in, to retrieve my two straps left hanging from the rafters. Fortunately, I was less than a quarter mile away, BUT I had to ford a cold, cold, cold stream over-and-back again, including changing out of and into water shoes twice. Learned a lesson!

I didn't have and couldn't find any beads, so I used small "split rings" (such as you put keys on. Now I'm thinking I should be glad I never found beads?

Why not just a Solomon Bar with mason twine or dental floss as a bead replacement if you want something fancy? You can tie it after the fact.

Any sort of knot tied around or stitched through would stop it. I use a small whipping twine to make locked brummells (inside out method) when I don't have access to both ends of the line. It works well enough that if you bury the adj loop, you can recover it. Stitch a piece of dental floss as a bead replacement.

Dental floss is multi use if that is your thing. -after the Aztec chicken stew, you can use it for it's intended purpose, you can fish with it, you can repair gear with it, etc

    Leave your biner/hook attached

I leave my carabiners attached permanently. As they are different colors it helps me see which end is which (different color whoopies does the same) and as I use one of those two ended stuff sacks I just leave the last inch of each WS end outside so I can quickly find and attach to my straps.

I know Dutch has some great clips, I just like the easy quick use, low weight, and color of these biners.

As an added tip to using biners with slings, I never touch the gate. I use an even faster method where I pull the a bite of the loop back through the biner. Hard to explain, I assume most know what I'm talking about.
