I've got some new fishing gear and some new camping gear, and want to try it all out...interested in getting to some rete little ponds as well...should be fun.

I actually got a quasi liberty pass from the redhead...have some things to do between now and then that are going to be pretty stressful, so thinking I might treat myself to something and head on up to "recover." It would probably be Saturday before I could get there though. If I get up there, will try to get up and find you guys, so please let me know if you change from Low's Lake as a destination.

I haven't been fishing up there, haven't been fishing at all in years. I do have a nice canoe pole (Emmrod) that I never really got the chance to try, maybe I'll pick up a license on the way.

I could be interested in this if I can swing it with the better half on such short notice.

Are there any restrictions on boats. I feel like I had recently heard something due to invasive species....

How would a 16' glass sea kayak fair?

I have a 15' kayak that I have taken up there 2 years ago with no problem.

There is a short portage of about 500' (I don't even think its that far). I pack everything I need into my backpack then unpack it all into my kayak. That way I'm only taking two trips at the portage, kayak then pack.

I try to portage in one trip, but with only a short one, it's no big deal...

Depending how work goes today, I might try to bug out and head up there. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out who. If you see a guy in a carbon Hornbeck with a red petroglyph paddler on the bow, paddling around looking lost, that'd be me

(EDIT: I'd be getting there on Saturday, not Friday)
