    Pics!!!

I always try to conceive a way for each room I stay in. would really come in handy when I go to conferences and we all pile into a room to keep it cheap.

i'm using a door and a wall locker (i'm in a military barracks type room).

    +1 pics

I saw this thread pop up a couple of days ago and couldn't wait to contribute!

I recently stayed at a hotel and had the luck of two doors in the perfect spots! One was the connecting door to the adjacent room which is the picture with the whoopie sling wrapped around the door. I've never tried this before but it seemed to work very well with no slipping. As you can kinda see below I used a junk piece of tow strap to stop the hinge of the door from cutting into the whoopie, and it worked perfectly. No damage at all!
The other door was the balcony as you can tell. so we did have to take it down and set it up but that was fairly simple using the method in the picture below. I used some tow strap made a loop in it, wrapped it around the hinge(something I had never tried either.. on a door hinge) and it worked out again perfectly. Just attached the hammock with a toggle to the tow strap and was good to go.

Disclaimer: Everything I tried worked out very well and showed no signs of stress, however I must... stress.. I only had about 150# in the hammock.

Wanted to post this up here because I liked this thread and wanted to see more set ups!!

Just be cautious when hanging in hotels, if you damage it they will try their best to make you pay for it.

that looks good Paul. my hang isn't quit as good as yours. there's a small dresser with my tv on it that is about 1 foot from my hammock. it's very cramped but it's been good enough to quinch my craving to hang LOL

I feel for you, it can't really be seen from the pics but there is a table directly behind the hammock that was screwed to the wall :/ but I was able to hang it low enough that it worked out. fairly cramped in a hammock is still 'in a hammock'!
