    Rings def cut down the set up time of my HH and now dont have to mess with tying the knot anymore... just remember to use slippery half hitches for extra security

    years ago somebody thought of using webbing. ring we could get at REI. then cinch buckles from strapworks, then whoopies, dutchware and other gizmos.
    i for one just liked rings and always fall back to them. my HH UL Explorer is my favorite hammock can't sleep as well in others.
    sometimes it's just what us old guys are used to. if it works, don't fix it.
