All I did to was to remove the webbing from the ring to the tree, and replace with a 3 mm Amsteel blue bight line. This attaches from my tree hugger to the ring buckle from the hammock. I left the straps from the hammock ends (the triangle) alone for now - I may change my mind, though.



I just did a bight every 10 - 12 inches on a 6 ft. piece of Amsteel. On a shorter span, I double the line to the ring. On a longer span, I attach the one bight end with a snap link or biner, and the other end runs through the tree strap. Simple. I am going to make a longer bight line, with varying bights every 6-10 inches, for more adjustability.
