My local Walmart has this line priced at $3.96. Everything is higher here.

FWIW...the stretch in mason's line is utilized in construction to tie it off with a no knot quick release method.

EDIT: nevermind the below. Apparently its only available in the store and there doesnt appear to be one in your area.

That sucks. Do you have a blain's farm and fleet in your area? Looks like you can get it there as well or order some online....

Zing it over the Dacron. I actually prefer the larger diam, 2.2 or something like that for the reason you mentioned, it's easier to handle and knot. I bought a roll of each size and use the little stuff for food hanging / spare line, etc. If I have a specific use, I'll use the larger size.

Ill probably go the same route whenever I get some Zing it and go with the bigger size. If for no other reason than it would be easier to splice which I have never done.

Just ordered some cordage from this place- http://www.funwithwind.com/store/Lis...3&idparent=168 ----------dacron kite line----it splices really easy (for mini whoopie slings etc) and its pretty cheap, and best of all, free shipping! I've been really happy with it.
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

I've been using this cordage too. It's a great price. They also have a 50' amount of the same cord (but it's camo) they have priced at $3.88 or something like that. I just did the math and I don't really "need" camo It's been working fine for what I'm using it for.

Well why wouldn't I buy an Un-tempered hammer? I've got enough of a temper meself!

I had the pink Wally world line on my tarp till I got that Glow line from Larsens. If you want to stealth camp, use the Wally line. You'll be able to find your tarp from a mile away with the glow line. Brilliant White lines pointing up from the ground to the tarp I tell ya. I was looking for another spool but ran out of time today. Was up there buying a new backpack and hydration pouch. Ran out of time. Had to get home and pick about 20 pounds of cherries.
