    Thanks emcee. Pretty sure that's what the heavy duty BMBH uses as well, I would have been quite surprised if they changed that too and didn't say anything about it.

    The effective spread (meaning distance between corners of the hammock) is a bit less than 32" because (a) there are notches in the spreader bar and (b) those notches go into the far side of a 1" or so diameter ring thats at the corner. Alternatively put, the end of the spreader bar goes about 1.5" beyond the corner of the hammock, if memory serves, making the effective width closer to 29" than to 32".

    I have a BMBH hammock and if memory serves me the spreader bar length between the notches is 31" and the overall length tip to tip is 32"

    I would agree that the new UL bridge hammock would use the existing spreader bars. No sense reinventing the wheel and having to source and stock another separate part.
