Depending various factors the base weight of a 9'x10' tarp of 1.5oz/yd^2 should be 15oz (10yds^2)

However, if it is PU coated nylon, DIY silny, ect. that weight could nearly double. As well, cat cuts will reduce the weight somewhat.

Optionally, you could always take it to a grocery store and drop it in the fruit & veggie scale for a more accurate measurement.

I also went to wal mart and got something similar to this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Soehnle-Op...Scale/14948092 just because I'm obsessed with how much everything that goes in my pack weighs. If you somehow get it weighed and find it to be lighter than please let me know. I'm looking for a good coverage lightweight tarp.
