    StaplesHuskies,

It will take you some time getting familiar with your BB, just be patient and observe, you'll find what tension the ridgeline has when it feels right to you. My advise is to check it when you're laying in the sweet spot in a nice comfy diagonal. One thing that helps me find my spot is to reach my right hand over my head and if I can wrap my palm around the gathered end at the head of the hammock, then I can scootch side to side and I'm there. Then I check my ridgeline, I like it to be a little slack. I encourage you to find what works best for you.

    David

Not much to add except to say that it took me a while to consistently hit the sweet spot. I'd find it, lose it, find it again.... Finally figured out what I was doing and where (in the hammock) I needed to be.

so the ridge line should be a little slack even when you're laying in the hammock?

Un poquito. You don't want it bowstring taut, although that may be unavoidable when your trees are farther apart than you'd like.
