    help needed

I set up the WBBB for the first time... but wondering about the ridgeline. I set the adjustable straps up about 6 feet tall on trees 14-15 feet apart.. i know the ridgeline is supposed to be loose but is that before and after you sit in it or just before? i feel like this is a stupid q but i couldn't get the right feeling hang. i laid with my head to the left, feet to the right in the footbox but there was a lot of tension in the middle.
    any takers on some help?
    thanks!

In my experience I get my angles close to the desired 30° and the ridgeline with some sag in it. Usually a few inches of sag (nothing exact) . Then when I lay the ridgeline will take some tension but not so much to snap. If your not satisfied...think back to those long days in geometry class (I skipped) and make either a height adjustment, strap length etc until you get what your looking for. I believe Brandon says on his you tube video (check.it out if you havent seen it) that you should almost be able to bend a 90° angle.in it when your in the laying position. When your sitting in it (chair mode) usually the ridgeline will be about in the most aggravating spot possible. Sagging right in your face...ymmv. Also raising the foot or lowering the head so you dont slide feet first into the footbox is a factor as well. This ridgeline is a guide for what is believed to be the optimal sag for that hammock. Some change it some stay with Brandons specs.
Hope this is what uou were asking.

Megan, it's all in the butt...scooch over to the right an inch or so, and I think you'll find your sweet spot. In my experience, that does more to fine tune things than small changes in sag.

...also hang your foot end a bit higher. I actually almost go a full foot higher on that end.

+1 on the taller foot end. Found that worked for my WBBB, and now for my BIAS Micro, even for the Mayan hammock in the back yard.

By the way, no woman wants to hear that it's all in her butt

The intent is for the ridgeline to be snug when you lay in the WBBB, but like others, I'm guessing your problem had more to do with your position then the sag. Do try the foot end higher as well.

I'm finding I have to be positioned just right in my BB to hit the sweet spot. For me, this is with my feet fully into the foot box and my left shoulder almost on top of the zipper which always seems farther left than I think it should take. It is not nearly as forgiving as my larger DIY hammocks.

I also find that I get a better lay out of mine if I pull my head closer to the end and my feet not so deep in the foot box.

+1 on both of these. When I lay in my WBBB I'm only a couple of inches away from the bug net and not too far from the head end. Also I like the foot end higher then the head otherwise I tend to slide into the foot box while I sleep.
