The sap from trees is heavy this year.

Anybody else notice how much sap is falling from the trees this early summer covering and coating everything? I have a couple of yellow polar trees next to the house, of which the humming birds are hammering the yellow flowers on them like no tomorrow,,and they are raining sap out of the blooming flowers all over everything. Had to power wash the deck and top of hot tub already once, and about to do it a 2nd time. If I hang,,have to wash the tarp as its sticky in one nite, just absolutely covered from one end to other. This is very unusual but its very very heavy this year. Just wanted to know if anybody else is experiencing the heavy tree sap in their area when they hang as it totally fouls your gear up especially the tarps.??

Pretty bad here too. As a new hanger though I kinda thought it was normal. Glad to hear it isnt.

My family owns a mobile home park which is largely wooded. We are hearing a lot of complaints this year about sap on cars. Sorry folks...we're not cutting the trees down.

when I drive down the county roads,,you can see the sap on the roads even especially from the tulip poplar this year. I have never seen it this thick or heavy. When it coats your tarp,,you have to definitely hose it off as its so sticky. What a year for unusual happenings with such a early spring. Here in southern Indiana,,I already have green tomatoes even in the garden and stuff is growing so fast.
