You'll never regret buying your BB. Do it.
You'll never regret buying your BB. Do it.
Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest places if you look at it right.
The only thing you might regret from a blackbird is the wait time. I am now in my 4th week
I can't help here. I recently got back from a 4-day trip using my BB for the first time and I'm in love! Zipped up in my sleeping bag, threw a t-shirt over my head and I crashed within minutes...woke up about 9 hours later every night. Amazing!
No weather shield. I just hiked from Springer to Damascus with my Dangerbird and the weather shield was invaluable.

The blackbird was my first hammock
I know you guys have been losing sleep over this so I thought I had better put an end to this. Today I ordered my double 1.7 with straps and cinch buckles. Tomorrow I begin the painful checking my e mail for warbonnet ship notices that won't be there for three or for weeks.........but I'm checking just in case
The wait (weight) is worth it. I've seen tons of Hennessey Owners (like me) switch to a WBBB, but very few ever switch the other way. While you're 'weighting' I would recommend checking out a pair of Whoopie Slings with a Dutch Whoopie Hook http://www.outdoortrailgear.com/featured/whoopie-hooks/. The first thing many of us did was to swap out the straps for Whoopies. If you don't want to go the Whoopie Hook way you could try Whoopies with a pair of light climbing biners like the http://www.backcountry.com/black-dia...rino-carabiner for about $6 each. Get them in different colors. They're a little big, but very light and very strong. You could probably throw a truck over a cliff and they'd hold it (don't actually try this, please). And personally I like the larger size as it makes them easier to work with.
Check out all the great vendors on here and you'll find some real cool, functional gear to personalize your hang.

I just got my WWBB 1.1 DL in the mail yesterday and planning to take it out this weekend
The quality looks and feels really good and for all the recommendations in this thread I just couldn’t be happier with my purchase so far. Here is to hoping that it will be as good as everyone says!
