Doc says it's a no-go. Hooch who wants to go hiking thinks this sucks. Hooch who doesn't wan to leave a blood trail coming from his nose for 15 miles is cool with it. Oh well, hopefully, I can catch this hike again soon.

For anyone doing this section, or ending any section at 19E, I can't emphasize enough how importatnt it is to not leave a vehicle at the tiny parking area on 19E. For quite a while now, it has been a target for vandals in the area, so do not leave a vehicle there! Parking is available 0.3 mile down the road at Mountain Harbour Hostel for $2/day, which is very, very reasonable. Parking there also gives you an excuse to have the breakfast, it's not to be missed and is one of the best on the entire length of the AT.

Thanks for telling us about the parking situation. How much is the shuttle service? Sounds like a great trip!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Oftentimes, shuttle prices can vary, so I wouldn't want to put a number out there, especially if I'm wrong and since I'm not the one running the shuttle. My best advice is to call the folks at Mountain Harbour and ask them directly. They're super nice and will go out of their way to help you.
