    Under Hammock?

For gear storage that is off the ground I was thinking of making a "mini" hammock that would be suspended under my hammock. I have seen them before and did a search here but I cannot find any info. Probably due to my lack of technology skills. Anyone have any ideas on this? Gathered end? Size?
    Thanks, David

    commercial gear hammock

I'm not much of a DIY guy but try searching for "gear hammock" on this forum or on the internet for "ENO Underbelly Gear Hammock"

Thanks very much all, I appreciate it. Not sure why I didn't think gear hammock instead of under hammock. I'm "special" I guess

If you are going to get a gear hammock to carry with you might I suggest getting something like a Grand Trunk nano 7 or a BIAS weight weenie hammock. They would not only hold gear but can be uses as a camp seat, used for short breaks, as a spare in case you of your partner ever need one and their suspension can be a back up to your primary hammock. You could even rig one as an underquikt protector. Just a thought.

Here is another link that talks about the Gear Hammock/Camp Seat, etc. This particular one has the links to the videos as well.

Hope that helps and let us know if you have any questions!

By the way, note that I use mine as a camp seat as well

These hammock chairs are nifty and can double as a gear hammock: http://arrowheadequipment.webs.com/a...ts/show/928496
