    Thanks, I'll have to look into it. My wire gets the job done but I'd love to find something that works as well as a loop turner on 7/64 amsteel.

    I fly fish and tie a lot of flies. I found that an old bobbin threader works great for small diameter hollow braid lines. You can pick one up fairly cheap at any sporting goods store that sells fly fishing gear.

    Might have to try one of those. I did a quick search to see what they are. The one thing that wasn't really listed is the length. One said it was 3 1/2 inches. Are they all the same size or can you find longer ones?

    I got my wire from the telephone repairman. It's called bell wire. Pretty small gauge and vinyl coated. Back when I was a kid we would make rings out of it.

    I use either floral wire or a single strand of CAT-5 wire. I prefer the latter.

    I use a piece of 24ga copper wire I cut from a network cable. similar to the bell wire... Just fold it in half.

    One thing that helps with zing-it is a sharpened dowel for opening the weave...
