HH Hex Fly or comparible tarps

Anybody know anything about HH's 70D "Hex"-Shaped PU-Coated Polyester Ripstop Rain Fly? Does it have grommets or do you they use D rings or something else?

I'm just looking for something cheap but light enough (although not as light as silnylon) to use on my next hang until I get my BlackCat built. I've also considered Claytor's Big Rain Fly. I like the large tarps because I have a long hammock (Skeeter Beeter Pro) and I prefer to have the larger coverage when the weather takes a nose dive.

Or out of left field, Claytor's Diamond Rain Fly? I've been hesitant to go to a diamond fly because here in Indiana, the rain doesn't necessarily come straight down. The wind has known to blow it in from the side which is why I like the hex or cat cuts.

I have HH hex tarp that was standard issue with the Sarfari that I got. It does not have grommets or Drings but uses small loops of material similar to the trim edging. I don't know how much this helps. The ridge is 12' but the sides are like close to 5' deep with no cat cuts. So the full tarp spread out is something like 12 X 10 nominally.

The HH poly hex I have has D-rings and little pockets to keep the guylines in. It's a well-made tarp that gives good coverage. For the price it's a good deal, if a little heavy. But urethane-coated polyester tarps don't stretch much when they get wet and will stop a deluge where silnyl tarps sometimes mist. I still take it if the weather calls for the possibility of severe thunderstorms as silnyl has yet to fully stop an enraged Ouachita thunderbuster.

Mine also has the d-rings. More like triangle rings and pockets for storing the cordage in when not in use. I agree the PU is a little heavier but I'm not counting grams and it has held up to some serious downpours and wind gusts. Sil' has always seemed a little if'y for me. It is a generous sized tarp and covers even the largest hammocks including my new WBBB XLC with plenty of coverage left on either side. Overall I have been very pleased with it, Im sure you will be to.
