    Duct tape Challenge

OK, just watched yet another episode of Mythbusters, "Duct Tape, Hour 2". This episode details many projects like their sailboat, car catcher, etc.
Has anyone here on the forums actually made a duct tape hammock?

    Suspension, ridgeline, fabric, everything.
Knowing the stresses on the suspension, I'm sure someone out there has the creativity...
I'm sure it would be possible, its all a matter of layers and the winding/weaving arrangement.

Would anyone with more time be willing to create one and show pics?

    Just for fun that is...
    Any takers?

    Actually the Mythbusters did it.

And yes that is a duct tape tarp above them.

I love the mythbusters. The Duct Tape Island episode where they made the hammock was incredible. This stuff is truly a wonder--able to do more than one might suspect. Hat, solar still, hammock, animal trap, water containers, boat--you name it--they made it. If you haven't seen this one, it's really worth the time.

A bit of trivia, it's properly called "duck tape" not "duct tape." Duck tape was developed during WWII, but wasn't called "duct" tape until the 1970s.

I dont know which was first but it was called or changed to duct tape because it was used on air ducts. I always thought it was duct but that doesn't mean I'm right.

To stay on subject. I saw the island episode and the first episode. I have hour 2 recorded. Can't wait to see it
