Best Tarp Under $100
As a beginner here, I'd like to ask for some help. I'm planning on getting a tarp for my ENO DN. I'd like to spend under $100 if possible. I'm not gonna specify much in the way of things I'm looking for in a tarp, so I'm open to anything. Thanks so much!
I only have experience with the Hennessy Hex...good coverage, under 100 but a bit heavy. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another.
Pretty sure Warbonnett has tarps under 100 as well.
The hennessy hex fly is a lot of tarp for the money. If your not worried about it being light weight. It can be bought off of eBay through a couple of sellers for around $60 with free shipping. Just my two cents worth.

A little blurry...
After a big deluge. You can see the water flowed right under the hammock. Would've hated to have been in a tent.
I have the Warbonnet Edge tarp, 10 ounces, just big enough to cover the Blackbird (which apparently is a pretty long hammock--I don't know the dimensions of the ENO).
It's a good tarp. I've only been in one really strong rain under it and a few showers, and it has kept me and my hammock dry. Never had to seam-seal the ridge-line because of the way it's made.
It's not super-spacious and it's not going to provide a huge amount of room in porch mode, but for lightweight backpacking, it's a great solution.

Warbonnet also has an Asym Diamond tarp that's even smaller, for $85, but I don't know anything about it.

The hex tarps are nice, if you are looking for a winter tarp as well I would check out the superfly. There are hundreds of different tarps that people like for different reasons. I do a lot of car camping with the boy scouts, so I don't mind the extra weight of the superfly. It also provides great protection from the west texas wind and the winter storms. But the superfly would also be a little bit above your price range
If you're looking for a good tarp for under a hundred smackers, definitely watch the for sale forums. You can find great gear at excellent prices. I sold 2 tarps on there not long ago, a Speer 8x10 and a black MacCat Deluxe, each one for well under $100, including shipping.

Wilderness logics has two options under $100 as well in the Tadpole and larger Big Daddygreat gear and Marty is fantastic to deal with!

I also have an Edge, one of the last made out of spinnaker fabric - in a REALLY hard rain (5+ inches) in the SNP last year I had issues with part of my UQ getting wet. I had to get out and make frantic adjustments in the rain, which was not much fun. I will say that while it's a great lightweight piece of kit, you have to be pretty careful in setting it up just right. Just my opinion!

Check out AHE equipment. They have their tarps under 100 bucks. I have the Toxaway. Nice and roomy tarp. Paul is also great to deal with.
