    Very very cool, congratulations ^__^

I am not familiar with socks, are they supposed to replace the bug net AND tarp?

Socks are meant to be a "micro climate" , they can add some serious warmth to your setup by keeping your body heat in and wind away. Where I live , it's been know to drop from sunny and 75 to 35 and blowing winds in a matter of a few hours. I just thought it would be good insurance.

Thats exactly what my buddy said last night . He got me into hammock camping .
It looked really neat when he was inside with his headlight on at 9pm.

Very nice, very nice indeed! I've got an old tent just like that and since I'm not a ground dweller any more I will be modifiying. Do you have pics on how you did it?

I like the idea of the built in door to the sock. Its a hammock sock...no its a hammock bug net.... ITS the Super Hammock Sock Net !

Only problem is now I look at my old tent in a new way and starting to get evil ideas what to do with it.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
