Clark Tree Straps

I ordered the tree straps with my Clark NA. It is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. So far, I haven't seen anyone else talk about these straps. Anyone else using them? Any tips to make it easier to setup using the straps?

straps make using line easier imo. don't know what they're straps are made of. hopefully for you they are polyester.

with generic tree straps, generally, i wrap them around the tree and insert one end through the other. this causes the strap to cinch tight around the tree. move them up or down to get them at the right height. you then tie the suspension line to the free loop. try a slipped double sheetbend. if you happen to have a ring or biner on your straps, try a slipped clove hitch or a slipped buntline hitch.

Thanks WBG, the straps are polypropylene.

Our straps are a full 2 in. (5 cm) wide for optimum tree protection. The 81 in. (2.05 m) length allows for fairly large trees. Our straps are a surprising 1500 lbs. test polypropylene (nearly as strong as our rope). Two straps weigh only 3.6 oz. / 102 g.

My son tied bowlines at the ends of the ropes on his Clark. then he slipped each bowline over a set of ring buckles. He uses a strap from the tree to the ring buckles.

We first used straps made from climbing strap bought at EMS with a bowline tied in one end to use as a loop. but I have since ordered straps with loops in both ends from strapworks.

Hey nogods, do you happen to have a picture of that setup? The ring buckles system is new to me as I have been away from the tree swinging for a couple of years.

I use the Clark straps exclusively with my Clark NA and it works fine. Straps around the trees and taut-line hitch on the straps.

I have a HH Exped Asym and I use the straps as well. Straps save the bark so they are highly recommended.
