Red face Do you leave you Guylines on your tarp

    Hey,
I just got my Superfly (wow, it's awesome)
but was wondering, do you leave you guylines on your tarps when you put them back in the stuff sac?

If not, what do you do with them?

How do you get them to not get tangled.
I leave my lines on my Profly and they get a bit tangled up in the bag, and I was wondering if you take them off, they would still get tangled up?

    sorry for being a noob,

    Bill

Yes, I "hank" the lines and leave them attached to my fly. By hank I wrap the line around my thumb and pinky in a figure 8 pattern then make a few wraps around where the line crosses its self.

Guylines stay on tarp. I use Mountain Goats tarp sleeves instead of stuff sack.

I'll start at one end wrap the lines around my fingers. roll up the tarp & slide tarp sleeves over tarp.

you can sort of do the same with stuff sack..
    - remove stakes from ground
    - while tarp is still attached to trees.. start at one end. take the 2 end lines & wind them around your fingers. Tie a bow or whatever to keep it together.. go to the next set of guylines - repeat until done. Then stuff tarp in sack

    Enjoy!

I leave mine on and use rubberbands because when I tied mine they would still seem to get tangled somehow. So far, no problems with the rubberbands.

@ < 1 gram @, I've been using genuine Velcro double sided strips, soft side out, and now shortened to minimum required length. Per others, the figure 8 pattern keeps cord from self-twisting.
