    Jacks 'R' Better are better!

I just got back from the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City. As a rep in the outdoor industry, this is the big Kahuna where most everything for 3 season outdoor recreation is showcased. Ski gear being pretty much reserved for a Winter OR show.
Anyway, having some time between appointments, I went for a visit to the JRB booth.
I'm a newby hanger, being recently converted from a ground dweller and I wanted to see what this JRB stuff was all about.
These guys are great!! That's the bottom line for me. They took plenty of time to show me the products that they make, explain the details of construction, show me photos of their product in use, and in general just made me feel really welcome. I learned a lot that will help as I progress in this hanging lifestyle. I got technical explanations for their construction techniques, as well as the practical reasons for them. I never felt hurried or talked down to!
When I get the money together for an underquilt or some other piece of hammock gear, I'm going to them first. Being decent people making great gear is a pretty tough combination to beat.

I've thrown a few pennies their way. They are great guys with great products.
Did you get to lay in the bridge hammock?

No, I was pretty well tied up with a briefcase, but another guy who was there sacked out in it for a while. He looked like it was his first time in a hammock......and expected to get dumped on his head. After a minute or so he decided it was really comfortable.

The Jacks are great guys who make a great product AND do a lot for the hammocking community (donating gear for raffles at hangs, supporting this site, providing great info, etc).

Oak, if you are ever up for a drive you should come to one of the hangs. Or maybe here could be a NEHHA hang!

The Jacks are a wealth of information about hanging, sewing and gear. They are also very down to earth, at least they were before they hit the bigtime at the outdoor retailer expo. They also have their products made in the USA and back it up with a good warranty. If only they were pretty ladies. Janes R' Better.

I second Dgrav and Dutch! One thing they ain't though...is pretty!
Gentle raindrops and mighty oceans...neither can exist without the other.

Are there any plans for other colours in the JRB range?

No, too many knee surguries for skiing anymore. I rep canoe and kayak accessories.
