Ohio June Hang

Lets start working on a date to get the June Ohio hang on the books for Mohican. I'm out the first two weekends of June, but I can the last 3 weekends or even week days. I know we wanted to stay away from graduation period too, and I think that takes us out to after the 11th anyway.

I don't know if I'm going to drag our Kayak out or not, but I do want to get Dakota out on the water, the canoe livery there is pretty good. Back in the day there used to be horseback riding across the street, I'm not sure if that is still there or not, but there are activities plenty in this area for all of those that are interested.

I am leaning towards the last weekend. I have a trip planned to n. MichigAn the weekend of the 15th, and it's hard to get the workplace to cooperate with all of my requests.

I am in Cincinnati, Oh and have never been to a group hang. What city is mohican near. I would love to come just to check out everyone's set up. I am new to the sport.

You are certainly more than welcome to come. Even if your still ground dwelling we won't pick on you too much

. Mochican is the Loudenville, OH area. We stay at the Park and Pack sites which are free. Site 9 is an easy walk in.

Welcome Bryanbryan, the closest town would probably be Loudenville

We typically stay in the state forest area rather than the main park campground. Here's a link for the forest brochure, look for the park and pack sites labeled 8, 9 & 10. I think we usually try to stay in 9 if it's available.

When you vote. Keep in mind that the last weekend of the month...runs close to July 4th, so that may hinder many plans too.

I'm new to the forum and to hanging but this sure sounds like fun. You guys open to a rookie tagging along. If so I just might be able to get free for the 22nd.
