Yes, I am interested. My days may be more June 14 - 16, but I will be out and about for sure. Looking at 10 mile days if possible. I need to stay relatively close to Portland as I need to be back Sunday by about noon. My plan was to do Eagle Creek, Wahtum, Ruckle, but let me know your plans.

That is a trail I planned on doing last year but it didn't happen for a variety of reasons. Sounds Grand but will see what others ideas are as well. Rip mentioned North Umpqua Trail too which is one that I would also like to do.

So it is time to finalize plans. Many great suggestions where made. Loop in the Gorge, Pamelia Lake, North Umpqua Trail, Bull of the Woods Loop (which I know is out cause I was one of the last to experience that great trail before a fire took out 90% of it.)

    Decisions Decisions.

I think I am going to look into other trails but I am leaning towards North Umpqua Trail with names of sections such as Dread and Terror how can you go wrong?

    Decision Time

OK So I am going to go with the North Umpqua Trail Particularly the Dread and Terror Section because in the middle of the out and back there is a soak at the North Umpqua hot springs in the middle of the trip.

So the plan is leave from Albany at 6 or so am drive 3.5 hours and park at the trail head near Lemolo Lake which gets a start time at about 10am, hike down hill about 10 or so miles, camp. Then the next morning it is approx 4 or so miles to the hot springs then ahhhhhh soak. Then out of the hot springs and 4 or so miles back to camp then wake up early and hike uphill back to the vehicle.

Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome. It is a Wednesday thru Friday hike.

Wish we had caught this sooner, my survival birthday is on Sunday the 16th and this is a big one NINE YEARS, we already planned a hang on the North side of Mt. St. Helen.

I wish we were working out about four weeks or so. Maybe another time.
