    Hanging out in Australia

Hey everyone it's Chris here from Melbourne Australia.

What an awesome forum. Can't wait to dig in.
There aren't many hangers down here. I'm the only one I know.
I have a Camo clark North American. And I love it!
The Rangers down at Wilsons Promontory (the southernmost point of Australian mainland)thought I was some kind Army training guy. LOL

I have a titanium goat stove on its way as we speak. Can't wait to get it.
Need to find a serious tarp so me, my hammock and my goat can get acquainted and stay warm. Saw a guy I think from here on you tube with a fully enclosed tarp shelter for his hammock. Can't get anything here with a chimney hole though. If one of you fine people could point me in the right direction that would be great.
    Anyway enough chatting CU inside.

    Another Melbournian here!

How'd you find hanging at the prom? I was at Oberon bay and was frustrated by lack of suitable trees.

Funny you say that... We strolled into Oberon Bay with night fall approaching of course no signs to camp site so went up that little river as you come in. And guess what no suitable trees. So my first night hanging was spent on the ground. The hammock still worked of course with trekking poles.
We went across to refuge Cove and bingo what an amazing place. I'll never forget it. Going back as soon as it reopens after the floods they had.
