Thank you so much! It would figure I would need special slings! I appreciate the help.

I recommend you go to a mariner shop quick and get some amsteel and splice it yourself.or get a set sent to you because that eye will break in less than a week.

Thanks San, I actually just placed an order for replacements. But I'm kinda hoping Smoke turns up here because I forgot to tell him that I pitch my tarp separately and I thought since I am going to be a big girl and change out one suspension, I should have probably ordered two sets so I can go ahead and do my other hammock. After reading everyone's posts, it seems like whoopies are the only way to go.

Gotcha covered Froggfeathers. Saw your email and PM. Slow to get on here as we've been camping all weekend. Your new clings will go out in Tuesday's mail. I'm not sure who's whoopies were on your hammock when you bought it but I can tell they weren't ours. Definitely time for replacement.

Stu will take care of you.

I just put mine on my HH. It took me about 10 min because I was going slow, and I wanted to make sure I got the snakeskins on with the new slings without any trouble and in the sequence needed to have them do what they're supposed to.

Went down to the local park and gave it test hang directly, worked great, I'm sure you'll have no problems. Seeing the actual attachment point you're far ahead of me, as I had no idea what it looked like so the directions were even more intimidating.

@ Stu - Thank you thank you thankyou!!!
@ Manchego - Thank you for that. I was intimidated too. What did we do before youtube?
@ Lubbock - The first time I hung that hammock I just stared at them for a while asking who the heck came up with something this ridiculous. It took a while for them to grow on me. It will cut some bulk and weight out of my system though and since I use mostly synthetic, I need the help both ways!

Now I just need a #2 snakeskin for my tarp. HH is only selling #4's. Does anyone know someone else who sells them?
