First fly fishing of the season in arctic Sweden

    Ransar river

Pics and vids, a couple of Exped Ergos, one BMBH, lots of scenery, one single trout. All in swedish, for your viewing pleasure.

I especially recommend the one where Rob stubbornly refuses to pitch his tarp in the rain at 6 am. He held out for 40 minutes before grudgingly giving in.

It was a nice weekend, but we were too early. No insects, too much wind, and too cold.

Now that was a bit funny! I thought he was remarkably cheerful in the circumstances. Are you guys always so happy when cold and wet at 6am, or was there a little hint of 'internal warmth' there?

Even without the language you can get the gist of it, but so many languages, so little time!

I must admit though, it did look cold. A little further south (in Scotland) our temperatures is playing seesaws, 29'C yesterday, 14' today!

    Cheers

Well, what's the point of getting angry? It's not much fun when it happens, but it makes for a great story afterwards.

Although, he's a bit extreme. Nothing ever gets him down, and he IS a bit unorganised, so things just "seem" to happen him more often than the rest of us.

    .

I enjoyed that too. He looked so bewildered while he looked for the tarp, then refused to put it up! I knew alcohol was involved in the building of the fire ring even before I saw the bottle.

    Lucky it wasn't a downpour.......
....otherwise Rob could have used his hammock as a bath.

Our trout season is just finishing, yours is just beginning...enjoyed your
    hanging & fishing adventure. Cheers.
