    Guy attachments on tarp

Do you guys opt for guys attachment points on the seams of your tarp or in the middle of the fabric?
I figure if you have them on the seams then they are reinforcing something that is normally taught ie more for structure. and if you have them in the middle of the fabric this would be more for space?

What do you like or feel the need for??

This is for a shaped diy tarp to give full coverage,
    Regards jon

If you put them somewhere other than the seams it generally requires reinforcing patches.

Thats fine, but which is more usefull, i guess other then the seams, seams are strong as they are and if somewhere other then the seams may take a bit of load off of them, and also help give space??

For typical hammocking usage, the tie outs on the tarp edges are used to hang and tie down the tarp. Side tie outs in the middle of the tarp are used to open up the interior and to help hold against wind to keep it from blowing the tarp against you. Reinforcing patches are normally used at both locations.
