Backpacker Mag has such pretty pictures
Keep in mind that the target audience for BP is the REI/LL Bean
consumer level outdoors person. For that group it provides generalized
information and nice glossy product ads. However- for a group of bleeding
edge bush craft hammock hangers...the magazine is somewhat laughable.
Too bad they are misleading their viewers on the benefits of hanging- we
will just have to continue to carry the torch.
