Backpacker Mag has such pretty pictures
Keep in mind that the target audience for BP is the REI/LL Bean
consumer level outdoors person. For that group it provides generalized
information and nice glossy product ads. However- for a group of bleeding
edge bush craft hammock hangers...the magazine is somewhat laughable.
Too bad they are misleading their viewers on the benefits of hanging- we
will just have to continue to carry the torch.

If they would have read the instructions on the proper way to hang it, he would not have fallen.
I have a subscription.
I read it in the bathroom.

The only thing that amazes me about the folks at backpacker is that they survive going to the woods......they do go, don't they?
Giving the field testers at BP Mag a Hammock is like giving a Long Haul Truck driver an Indy Car and then the truck driver complains that there isn't a cup holder.
