    New Hanger

Hi, I joined the forum to get some knowledge prior to my first outing with my hammock set up. I first saw these when a friend of mine brought one to the Boundary Waters. He also brought a great tent. It rained for two days straight, and he didn't use the tent once!

I recently asked him about it, and he spent 3 weeks hanging on a catamaran in Costa Rica. I bought the same set up as his, and I'm waiting for it to arrive.

I got all ENO stuff. Doublenest, guardian net, dry fly, and the much hated pro straps.

You have any thoughts or advise for me? I've never even hung one of these.

Welcome to the addiction. Good hammock and net. The slap straps to some aren't as good as some other types. They are easy to use, just not as durable. I say try them out and you judge for yourself if you like them or not. Have fun!
    It's a hammock thing, you won't understand!

The wife no longer kicks me out of bed after she saw a hammock hanging in the dog house.

Thanks, I can't believe what a little sub-culture exists around hammocks!

Welcome from Ohio. Eno DN is a good hammock. You can take the Eno tree straps and trash them though....or return them if you can. Everything else Eno is great though. Before the year is up, you'll probably end up with a few hammocks though. It's all part of the addiction.
