That's another thing I'm torn on, 3/4 or full length? I think 3/4 would be enough for me as I wear double layer thermal socks when I sleep, and when I sleep at home I tend to stick my feet out from under the covers to keep them cool. I would definitely love the space and weight savings so I'm curious to know if that'd be enough insulation for me.

Paul ships almost the minute he gets the order from you and is awesome to deal with! Too bad you just missed the Memorial Day sale though...
As for the Jarbridge River UQ, I was looking at that while it was on sale and almost bought one. What stopped me is the realization that it's not filled with down. If I'm going to shell out that much for a UQ I want one that's down. Plus I thought I read something about that one *not* fitting the HH Expedition well. It does look like it's still on sale though.

right, so you want down, you want small, you want warm- I hope you also don't want cheap.

You could try picking a model or two, and posting a new thread with that in the title to lure out owners of the hammocks and the quilts that you identify. Ie (Quilt X- does it fit a HH and a BB?)

Here's an old thread about 3/4 quilts (specifically the yeti) and Hennesy bottom entry hammocks:

    hope it helps!

Here is my HH setup with underquilt

I had a zipper mod put in and I use a 3/4 length underquilt and it works down to the mid 20s.

Yep, I don't expect it to be very cheap. I cheaped out on my sleeping bag years ago so now it's time to spend something on insulation. Between top and bottom quilts I expect to spend a few hundred.

I will check out that link, thanks.

Looks good! What UQ did you use? I'm pretty confident a 3/4 would be enough warmth for me in most conditions.

So as per titanium_hiker's suggestion, I've spent half the night looking at different quilts and have narrowed it down to a few:

    Warbonnet 3-Season Yeti ($190+30 ship)
    HammockGear's 20*F Pheonix ($179.00)
Wilderness Logistic's "Under Quilt (Down)" 3/4 Length ($160 USD)
    Wilderness Logistics Summer UQ ($135)

Right now I'm leaning towards the last one, the summer series quilt. It's an incredibly attractive price, only slightly more than the Jarbridge River but it's down. It's also full length, so no cold feet, but I wonder if that insulation would be better spent at my torso in the 3/4 version which goes down to 20F.

I also really looked at the jarbridge again, the price is definitely right but I want the compactness of down, I don't want to have to spend the money all over again when I feel rich enough to upgrade. So as attractive as $100 is I just can't bring myself to go with this one.

So has anyone tried the 3/4 or Summer UQ from Wilderness Logistics?

Check out Underground Quilts. There are many reviews in the "other manufacturers" section.

i use a summer pheonix on my hennessy and it fits pretty well. i just don't use the tie outs on the body of the hennessy. the only thing that sucks is that my hammock is the bottom entry one so adjusting the quilt after i get in doesn't really work out.

it looks like the photo above from anthony is using his tie outs so maybe i'll have to try that, i found that if i didn't use the tie outs the quilt wrapped up around my shoulders fairly well.
