    Making my own DIY underquilt.

So I have a king size down comforter from goodwill. I picked up some camp ripstop and brown polyester for the inner. Didn't do baffles just stitched channels in @ 10 wide. Finishing up over the weekend. Tired today and done for the night. I don't really camp in anything less than 50* usually so this should be more than enough.

Looks like a solid plan. Careful openning that comforter. I recommend wearing a face mask and working either in the shower or in a enclosed ground camping unit to help control the down.

    Good Luck.

I guess it's still a four letter word. Keep us posted on your UQ.

Can we assume the fabrics you selected are down proof?

i just picked up 50 yards of 1.1 ripstop and was looking to make all my projects out of it one being a UQ. how would you be able to tell if it is downproof? and if its not would it be better to just go with something like insultex?
