Well I grew up in a camping family (tents then pop up’s) and I can’t recall a year that we didn’t have a campout. Then after I left home it was still in my blood, but I wanted to try different styles. I’ve done everything from tarps to bevy sacks to domes. My first try with a hammock was an old army surplus jungle hammock. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! I’ve had better nights wrapped in news paper sleeping on the ground. Then I saw this guy named Shug on You Tube. Talk about funny, but best of all informative. Need I say more! Now hammocks are the ONLY way to go. Thanks Mr. Emery.
