No reason why it wouldn't work.

I do it. This is actually a picture of my tarp that Paul is using on his arrowhead web site. My good buddy [O]tter got the shot.

If you select the picture with snow I've got it hung under the ridge. Note: It takes 4 turns for the dynaglide to grab and not slip.

    There's no problem using dynaglide.
It is way overkill for the application, but as you say, it's only a few grams, and if you already have the line, why not use it.

Similarly, I buy Zing-it in the 180' spools and therefore use it for everything, even stuff sack closure cord. I mean really! What could be inside a stuff sack that need a 400 pound cord to keep it in there?

One of my hammocks uses Dynaglide for the ridge line. Works fine. I don't use it for tie outs. Too waxy/stiff for that use. I prefer lash-it.

Me too. I made a detachable dynaglide ridgeline to use with a dutch biner on my Blackbird. It looks good and works great.

I made a ridgeline for my Hard rock today and used dynaglide. I also found out that the prussicks need 4 turns, using zing-it. It is overkill but if thats what you have, use it.
We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869

I bought a bunch for whoopies. Then I had to have a ridgeline to match. Then I put it as tarp guy lines and ridgeline. I have alot of orange going on. Yes its overkill. But I like it. My prussiks for my tarp ridgeline are zingit and it does take about 4-5 wraps to get them to hold. Only about three for the dynaglide prussiks on my guy lines though. Use it up. Ill go to zingit/lash it if these ever break.
