    Interesting piece of gear...

I have to agree with Grizz...you Jacks have no green-color-vision, apparently. Whenever that gets sorted out, count on a sale from me!

Yeah, the Mt. Washington would be sweet in an all black version or a grey-black. I may still buy one as I'll need one up here where Mt. Washington is in my backyard. The differential cut is just too cool to pass up unless I can convince Mike to try and sew one for me. He wasn't too keen the last time I asked though.

    Is that correct?

I'd be interested if that's true.
But it does say for Hennessy hammocks, inquiring mind want to know? can we use it?

Don't really need the slit. Using the Nest & WS comb or even the Nest alone on the HH UL I just pull the Nest/WS to the side and step in as normal. The JRB suspension system snaps everything back into position.

Wondering if JRB will in the future incorporating the differential cut design into their warmer weather UQ? If the differential design is a more effective insulator gram per gram, maybe even lighter more compact version of the Nest in the future?

I personally sort of like the emerald green. It's like a JRB trademark color. But maybe it's because the Nest is usually hidden under the WeatherShield or as a quilt hidden inside the hammock. Time to save up some more $$s for a Mt. Washington.

Tobit, now it makes a little more sense.. the differential cut is not in the shell, its in the shape of the mesh baffle. So the mesh baffle is shaped like a loose "U" in a manner of speaking?
Otherwise, it seems like it would be more effective to make the channels run from head to toe, lengthwise. (although that could mean some down shifting)

i was assuming the outer shell is larger than the inner shell and the distance between the baffell seams is slightly farther on the outer shell than on the inner shell.

maybe the jacks will elaborate on what they are calling differential.

right.. but based on the position of the baffles, running horizontal to the body, the mesh must be cut in the shape of your hammock (at least that is what I am seeing on the pics.. ) so the outer shell does have to be larger, but the end result is no puckering or fabric darts.
    make sense? please tell.

i was thinking the baffels ran the other way till i looked again. i see what you're saying though. i don't know if it would matter or not. using straight baffels might pucker on the inside, but i don't know if it would effect performance or not.
