Well FL, I wish you the best on your hike! May you dodge most of the rain, pray for cloudy skies, and no failure on the skeeter net!

Don't let a lack of hammocks keep you out of the woods. Despite all of my tongue in cheek ribbing over having to use a t***t, either is really just a tool used for a specific end result: enjoying the outdoors. Heck, I've even been toying with trying a ranger roll this winter (not gonna do that one when the bugs are out) to see if it would be a viable cool weather ultralight solution.
GAH ! Now you went and invoked Murphy on the bug net! AAAAAAHHHHH!
Seriously, though, thanks richtorfla. Hope to see you on the next one.
I would love the trip but im in the mtns for a while, even though i will b at my place on the suwannee river in Live Oak for the wk end I have no time(dang it) maybe next time, Im sure it will b hot so water up. Ive been through that area, real nice! (at least i will b in my hammock) happy hangin!

Oh, yeah, I totally expect it to be in the upper eighties and there to be water issues. I'm carrying three liters, and there is no single portion of the trail that should take me longer than three hours to get through if I'm moving at an average speed. Which is at the edge of comfort for me, but the heat shouldn't be a problem until the afternoon. And, if I'm willing to spend a bit of cash, I can always side-step at about two hours to get more water at one of the campgrounds. I did this section back in August of last year, and that was up in the mid-nineties. Hot...and I let myself get a little dehydrated on the second day. Not something I want to experience again.
Thanks for the well-wishes. Hope to see you at the next one!
I'm really interested! But, I don't have a hammock YET and all I have is a heavy 2-person T**t. Is any one going have an extra hammock set up that I could borrow? It would be my first hang.
You folks have fun!
In south Florida the high was 95 today with 100% humidity.
But, the nights are a chilly 83 for a low
